Postmortem
Halfway through making this game I scrapped everything I had on it. the game was not coming together in the way I had hoped and as I learnt more and more about how to develop games in unity I found my code to be inefficient and messy. And although I am mostly happy with the game as it is I'm sure I will look back on my scripts in the future and pick out every mistake and inefficient line of code as I did during my initial development of the game. A problem that jumps out right away would be the lack of audio that the game has, I really wish I would of had more time to implement audio into the game because I believe it looses what could have been a lot more eerie. in future games I will manage my time better as to not have to submit my game in what I believe is a playable but ultimately unfinished State. I am however very happy with how the enemy AI turned out which makes sense as it was the area that forced me to learn the most. during the development of the AI I found myself wanting to implement features which i lacked knowledge on how to implement, using the unity forums and many many YouTube videos I learnt do much about how to code with unity. This knowledge would also help me implement later features of the game too.
Developing this game has been a huge learning experience for me and i only hope that with time i will continue to improve my skills and get better and developing games.
